We are looking for a talented Products Researcher to join our R&D team in Reading, where we work on front end innovation for Gillette and Venus razors, as part of P&G’s Grooming business. Grooming is a dynamic business with significant market share and future growth projected. We have recently established some big new projects with the intent of transforming the category with significant innovation and compelling consumer benefits. The successful candidate would join one of these projects in a Products Research role – specifically owning an area of the project to understand the consumer, translate that understanding into actionable product or proposition design direction, and work with the team to create a winning consumer proposition.
Your role will be to lead the successful execution of the Consumer Learning Plan on the project. In doing so, you would shape the overall consumer proposition, drive the progression of the consumer proposition at the R&D site in Reading, culminating in successful transfer of the project into our partner organisation in Boston, US. This will include strong progress across all elements of the project, especially creating a superior consumer experience and clear compelling consumer communication. Additionally strong partnership is required with Product Development partners to optimise the product innovation and proposition through the FEI (front end innovation) stages, as well as working with Commercial colleagues to develop and appealing business model and overall proposition that wins with the consumer.
• Strong Products Research experience (quantitative and qualitative), which you have successfully used to execute and optimise a consumer winning proposition. • Strong external focus and appreciation of the competitive and consumer landscape • Ability to influence, engage, and enable others (up, down, across) to deliver the plan – the successful candidate will have a track record of quickly establishing project networks and the capability to leverage these to drive to execution • Ability to integrate new knowledge as the project progresses to deliver strong innovation along with balancing agile and quality progress • Good command of the English language
